Stretch Marks & Cellulite Massage Oil

Stretch Marks and Cellulite Massage Oil

Stretch marks are scars and occur after the skin is stretched out a lot in a short period of time by rupturing collagen in the skin. Stretch marks mostly develop around the stomach, upper arms, and hips, but they can occur anywhere the skin is affected. Stretch marks fade over time but the earlier you treat stretch marks, the less noticeable they may be. There is nothing proven yet to prevent stretch marks, but moisturizing stretching skin makes sense. Massage helps to smooth out the fatty tissue that makes up cellulite.

In addition to the massage, Mary Li at Oriental Massage Therapy Galway uses special oils with herbs and a combination of essential oils and lotions that are known to reduce the appearance of stretch marks. The increase in blood flow, as well as the physical nature of the massage, can help reduce the appearance of surface skin imperfections by helping the body heal itself. It can also relax sore muscles such as the back and feet that are greatly affected by an increase in weight from being pregnant.
