Ylang Ylang Essential Oil, pronounced “Ee-lang
Ee-lang,” receives its name from the repetition of the word Ylang
meaning wilderness. The wilderness it is cultivated includes the
rainforests of the Philippines and Indonesia. The Ylang Ylang tree,
identified botanically as the Cananga odorata botanical, is also
sometimes referred to as The Perfume Tree because its scent can be
described as sweetly fruity floral and fresh.
Ylang Ylang Essential Oil is derived from the
steam distillation of the Cananga odorata botanical star-shaped flowers.
Ylang Ylang Essential Oil can help soothe stress, stabilize emotional
anxiety, sleeplessness and its aphrodisiac quality is reputed to boost
the libido to enhance sensuality. Its pleasant floral scent, which has
been described as both delicate and powerful, makes it an ideal
